This is such a fun song. I first remember hearing it back when I was in high school. VH1 showed Christmas music videos all night on Christmas eve, and this song got stuck in my head.

Canon in D minor is beautiful on its own. It’s a timeless and the perfect wedding song. This Christmas version has the same effect (as far as being timeless goes).

It is really hard for new Christmas songs to be accepted. People get used to the traditional songs and remakes of the traditional songs. “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has truly made a place of its own. Mariah was in her prime. Her vocals are great, and its a nice upbeat song.
